MAJOR (RET) TRACEE YVETTE MILLARD, ESQ.

JUDGE ADVOCATE (JAG) – U.S. ARMY ATTORNEY

MAJOR Tracee Y. Millard, Esq. has honorably served in and has retired from the United States Army after over 23 years in 2019.

 

MAJOR Millard first enlisted in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps on February 24, 1996, as a Mortuary Affairs Specialist at the Rank of E-4 (Specialist) and graduated as the Distinguished Graduate. She attended Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for Basic Combat Training and Fort Lee, Virginia for Advance Individual Training.

 

Then, on December 1, 2002, Major Millard was directly commissioned at the Rank of First Lieutenant in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Her then Commander of the 344th Combat Support Hospital and Godfather, COLONEL John Hassett, administered her Oath of Commissioned Officer.

 

MAJOR Millard received her Undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook and her Juris Doctorate or Law degree from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. Major Millard is currently pursuing her advance legal degree, a Master of Laws or LLM, in Alternate Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law, in Malibu, California.

 

Her Bar Admissions include: The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS); U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF); U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals (ACCA; U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York; U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey; and New Jersey.

 

MAJOR Millard’s Decorations and Awards include: Meritorious Service Medal (4 th Award); Army Commendation Medal (5 th Award); Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (5th Award); National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon (2nd Award); Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device (5th Award).

 

Prior to serving as a US Army JAG, MAJOR Millard’s civilian occupation was as a Transactional or Corporate Attorney in Mergers and Acquisitions and Compliance, in New York City, New York. MAJOR Millard has been mobilized 5 times and has served as a Military Magistrate. Her previous assignments include: HQ, 7th Army Katterbach Caserne, Ansbach Germany, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) Fort Drum, NY; Joint Legal Center, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey; 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Fort Des Moines, Iowa; US Army Trial Defense Service, Fort Belvoir, VA, and USARC & FORSCOM, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
